I slammed my Windsor Walk-Thru Petgate closed and the latch no longer works. Why?
The Windsor Walk-Thru Petgate does not have an auto-close feature and, as the instruction manual states, needs to manually closed. If the gate is repeatedly slammed or closed using something such as a hip or a foot, the spring inside the upper latch may become dislodged causing the latch to no longer function properly.

Absolutely Love This Product – I have 4 of them! They are sturdy, great looking, and easy to install. I have three in each of the entry ways to my kitchen, so the dogs can stay on the non-carpeted floor when their paws are wet and one to my son’s bedroom to keep them from getting into his things.

I found these online about 6 years ago and installed them on both entrances to my kitchen. They look great, nothing to trip over, function flawlessly and get positive comments on them from whoever comes into the house. I have recommended these to others and along with that I get to install them too, haha.
Usually gates detract from a room setting but these just blend in with the surroundings. The finish has help up to very well as my Golden puppy puts it to the test daily.
It is the last gate you’ll need to buy, I had three other types prior.

Thank you for the excellent customer service. I called on a Friday about a problem with my latch. I got to talk to a real and very nice person who said she would send a replacement latch. I was able to figure out the problem over the weekend and left a message to cancel sending the new latch. I was called on Monday, again by a very nice real person, who said the latch was already shipped and just keep it as a spare. You don’t get much personal service like this anymore and I really appreciate it. I also love the sturdy metal gate. No more chewing by the dogs!
