Product Safety Alerts and Recall Information

North States Industries issued a voluntary safety recall of its Toddleroo by North States Rotating Cabinet Latches (model number 6178, UPC 0-26107-06178-2 and 0-26107-06177-5) in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The latching button can dislodge and detach from the cabinet latches, posing a choking hazard to young children. Click HERE to read the Press Release.

At Toddleroo by North States, safety is our highest priority, and we work diligently to earn the trust of parents and caregivers every day. We are pursuing this voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution to prevent any possible incidents.

Discontinue use immediately and follow the steps below to obtain a refund.

Latch Removal Instructions

Step 1: Using a hairdryer set on medium heat, warm the area where the adhesive attaches to the cabinet.

Step 2: Heat this area for approximately 1 minute.

Step 3: Gently remove the latch from the surface of the cabinet. If the latch does not remove easily apply more heat to the area until it does.

Step 4: Repeat the above steps for the opposite side.

*Note: North States Industries is not responsible for any damage to the surface caused by the removal of the Rotating Cabinet Latches. Any damage to the property is the sole responsibility of the end user.

Refund Instructions

Using a mobile or tablet device, you will be required to take two (2) photos of the removed latches. The first photo should be of the front side of ALL removed latches, and second photo should be of the back side of ALL removed latches in your possession. We need to see all latches in the photos in order to determine the correct refund amount.

The Rotating Cabinet Latches were sold as a 4-pack. Be sure to include ALL latches in the photos.

Please email the required photos, along with your full name and mailing address to safety@northstatesind.com. Additionally, your email must state that you acknowledge and confirm that you have discontinued use and have disposed of the latches by writing “I acknowledge and confirm that I have discontinued use and have disposed of the Rotating Cabinet Latches.”

No store returns will be accepted. The refund amount is $5.50 per pack of four latches. In the event that you paid more than $5.50 per pack of 4, a copy of your purchase receipt will need to be provided in order to demonstrate the amount paid.

Email your receipt, your full name, and mailing address to safety@northstatesind.com along with the photos of the front and back of ALL latches. Your email must also state that you acknowledge and confirm that you have discontinued use and have disposed of the latches by writing “I acknowledge and confirm that I have discontinued use and have disposed of the Rotating Cabinet Latches.
