When using at the top of a staircase, never allow the gate to swing over the stairs. When not in use, simply swing the gate out of the way. To remove and store your gate, press the button on the hinge cover and lift the gate up. Easily adjust the width of the gate by loosening the upper and lower assembly fittings and sliding the gate frames to the width that fits your space. Ideal for a variety of room openings or at the top of stairs measuring 28.68 to 47.85 inches wide and is 31 inches high.
