FAQ's:
How often should I clean my Village feeder?
It is recommended to clean your birdfeeder at least every two weeks. You may need to clean it more frequently in warm weather. Regular cleaning helps keep birds healthy and your feeder looking its best.
How do I clean my Village feeder?
Step 1: Remove the Top Square Piece
Remove the chimney/ cupola/steeple from the top of the feeder.
Step 2: Remove the Bottom Tray
Lay the feeder on its side and use the heel of your hand or a rubber mallet to firmly tap the bottom tray. Continue tapping until the tabs on the underside slide through the openings/slots and the tray comes loose. The tabs have a raised lip, so it may take several firm taps before the tray releases.
Step 3: Empty Old Seed
Discard all old seed and debris from inside the feeder.
Step 4: Wash the Feeder
Scrub all parts with hot water and mild soap. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove dirt and buildup.
Step 5: Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse all parts well with clean water to remove any soap or residue.
Step 6: Let the Feeder Dry
Allow all parts to dry completely before adding fresh seed.
What pole can I use to mount my Village feeder?
The Village Collection Birdfeeders are compatible with our 6-Foot Birdfeeder Pole Set.
Why aren’t birds visiting my feeder?
It may take birds several days or weeks to discover a new feeder. Make sure the feeder is clean, filled with fresh food, and placed in a safe and visible location.
How can I order replacement parts to my Village feeder?
If you need a replacement part for your Village Collection feeder, there are some replacement parts available that can be ordered directly on the North States website. Simply enter the model number of the feeder into the search bar found at the top of any page and all replacement parts will be displayed. Please note, the side walls of the Village Collection feeders come preassembled at the factory and are not available as a replacement part.
What is the warranty for my Village feeder?
We have a 3-year warranty for manufacturing defects on our Village Collection feeders. A manufacturing defect would be considered a flaw in the material or a missing part upon receipt of your new feeder. This includes failure of the hanging cable, cracks in the base upon receipt, etc. Loss of a part or damage sustained to the feeder due to weather and/or wildlife is not considered a manufacturing defect.
