FAQ's:

What is the included red wire used for?
The red wire included with the feeder is the hanging wire. Insert one end of the wire through the hole on the top of the feeder, then twist the ends together securely to create a loop for hanging.

What is the plastic piece in the opening of the base?
The plastic piece inside the feeder is a gasket designed to help prevent leaks. It fits into the opening on the base to create a tighter seal between the reservoir and the base.

How do I clean my hummingbird feeder?
Start by removing the reservoir from the feeder. Remove the flower ports from the feeder, then wash all parts with warm water and mild soap. Use a small brush to clean inside the feeding ports if needed. Rinse thoroughly before reassembling and refilling the feeder.

How often should I clean my hummingbird feeder?
It is recommended to clean a hummingbird feeder every 2-3 days in hot weather and at least once a week in cooler weather. Regular cleaning helps prevent mold, bacteria, and spoiled nectar that can harm hummingbirds.

How do I fill my hummingbird feeder?
All of our hummingbird feeders are filled by simply turning the feeder over and twisting off the base.  Use a funnel or container with a pour spout to fill the reservoir with nectar (be sure to fill completely to the top to prevent leaking) and replace the base.  Turn the feeder right side up and hang in desired location.

How do I keep my hummingbird feeder from leaking?
It is recommended to fill our hummingbird feeders to the maximum capacity so that there is not an air pocket in with the nectar, which could cause the feeder to leak.  Additionally, an ideal spot for any hummingbird feeder is to be placed out of direct sunlight to prevent expansion from the heat of the sun that can cause your feeder to leak. Make sure all parts are securely assembled and the feeder is hung level. Check seals regularly for wear.

Why aren’t birds visiting my feeder?
It can take time for birds to discover a new feeder. Try placing it in a visible location near flowers, keeping nectar fresh, and maintaining a clean feeder.

Where should I hang my feeder?
Hang your feeder in a partially shaded area where it is easy for birds to spot. Position it near flowering plants and away from areas with heavy foot traffic.

Do I need to use red dye in the nectar?

Hummingbirds are naturally attracted to the red accents on the feeder, making additional coloring unnecessary. Using plain nectar without dye is the safest option for birds.

Do you sell replacement parts for this feeder?
Replacement parts are not currently available for this feeder.

Is this feeder made with BPA-free materials?
Yes, this feeder is made with BPA-free materials for safe use with nectar.
